Spain fuel averages: €1.712 petrol, €1.892 diesel
Málaga and Alicante sit above the national petrol average, while Las Palmas has the lowest provincial figure at €1.524 a litre.

Petrol averaged €1.712 a litre across Spain on Wednesday 4 November, while diesel averaged €1.892. Stations sent these prices to the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
The petrol price used data from 10,895 stations. The diesel price used 11,242. This gives a broad view of Spain, but each pump may show a different sum.
Málaga and Alicante above the national average
In Málaga province, which includes the Costa del Sol, petrol averaged €1.751 a litre. Diesel stood at €1.936. Both figures were above the national averages for the same day.
Alicante province, home to the Costa Blanca, recorded petrol at €1.746 a litre. Its diesel average was €1.901. Those figures were also higher than the Spain-wide levels, though Alicante remained below Málaga for both fuels.
The data give the highest and lowest province figures only for petrol. Las Palmas had the lowest average, at €1.524 a litre. The Balearic Islands had the highest, at €1.804.
That gap has a clear effect on a full tank. Filling a 55-litre petrol tank cost about €15.40 more in the Balearic Islands than in Las Palmas, according to the checked data.
Tax and live price changes
Fuel is often cheaper in the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla. The ministry says this is partly due to different fuel taxes.
The Las Palmas and Balearic figures apply only to petrol. They should not be used as diesel comparisons.
All values are averages rather than a fixed price for every forecourt. Stations can change their prices at any time, so motorists may find a different amount when they arrive.
The figures do not include a comparison with an earlier day or week. They therefore show the position on 4 November, not whether national fuel prices are rising or falling. The averages cover that date only.
