Spain’s weather agency, Aemet, has issued a yellow rain warning for the Axarquía in eastern Málaga province on Wednesday, 4 November. It is in force from 15:00, with up to 15 litres of rain per square metre in one hour forecast.

Aemet puts the chance of that rainfall at between 40% and 70%. The agency classifies a yellow warning as low danger. The warning applies to the Axarquía district, not to the whole province.

Reports differ slightly on the end time. El Español says the warning runs until 20:59; Málaga Hoy gives 21:00. Both reports describe the same Wednesday alert and the same rainfall threshold.

Málaga Hoy reported that no other rain warnings were forecast for the rest of the week. It said rain chances in parts of central Málaga province were lower on Thursday. A separate Atlantic storm was forecast to bring more rain to Andalucía on Sunday. That later outlook is not part of Wednesday’s warning.

The notice does not give expected damage or list local impacts. It confirms the warning level, the area and the period covered.
