MeteoAlarm, which publishes official AEMET warnings, listed seven orange rain warnings for Spain on Monday, 2 November. They were in force or due to begin, among 64 warnings of all levels nationwide.

The warnings covered Cumbres de La Palma, Este de La Palma, Oeste de La Palma, El Hierro, La Gomera, Litoral de Barcelona and Litoral norte de Tarragona. These are AEMET’s zone names.

The earliest had been active since 10.00 Canary Islands time on Monday. The final warning was scheduled to end at 05.59 Canary Islands time on Tuesday, 3 November.

Orange indicates that dangerous weather is expected and people should take precautions. AEMET may change a warning at any time; its website carries the latest information.
