Shopping centres and large stores across Málaga city and province are due to open on Monday 2 November, when Andalusia observes the transferred All Saints’ Day holiday. Most shops will close on Sunday 1 November, although some restaurant, cinema and leisure areas may continue operating.

Monday is one of Andalusia’s 16 authorised retail trading holidays in 2026. The designation permits businesses to open but does not require them to trade, so individual schedules can differ.

Main openings on Monday

Larios Centro, Rosaleda, Plaza Mayor and Vialia–Estación María Zambrano are consistently listed among the Málaga city centres opening on Monday. Other large stores due to trade include El Corte Inglés, Ikea, Leroy Merlin, Conforama, Verdecora and Muelle Uno.

Holiday timetables are generally shorter than on an ordinary trading day. Centres often open an hour later and close an hour earlier, although visitors should check the venue they plan to use.

Across the province, scheduled openings include Miramar in Fuengirola, Puerto Marina Shopping in Benalmádena, La Trocha in Coín, La Verónica in Antequera, La Cañada in Marbella and El Ingenio in Vélez-Málaga. The Rincón de la Victoria centre, CostasolCentro in Torremolinos and El Corte Inglés stores in Mijas and Marbella are also listed.

Sunday closures and supermarkets

Most shops are expected to remain closed on Sunday, with restaurant and cinema areas among the likely exceptions. Mercadona, Lidl and Aldi are expected to close generally over the holiday, although arrangements may vary between branches.

The contrast between the two days follows Andalusia’s retail calendar. All Saints’ Day falls on Sunday this year and the public holiday moves to Monday, which is also an authorised trading day. Regional rules require at least one opening holiday when two or more holidays coincide and also consider traditional sales periods and dates with high tourist footfall.
