Spain in figures: power, fuel, roads and the pound
Official data for 5 November shows the day’s lowest PVPC power price, average fuel costs, road closures and the latest pound rate.
Spain’s main official figures for Thursday 5 November cover power, fuel, roads and money. The data comes from state and EU bodies.
Power and fuel
Power on the regulated PVPC tariff costs an average of €0.249 per kWh. The lowest rate runs from 14:00 to 15:00, when it falls to €0.168 per kWh.
Petrol costs an average of €1.702 a litre across Spain. Diesel is dearer, at an average of €1.889 a litre.
These are national averages. The figures give a broad view of the day’s costs across Spain.
Roads and money
The DGT checked its live road feed at 06:29. It listed 20 roads as closed for reasons other than roadworks. One side was also closed on three other roads.
The figures are a snapshot from that time. Conditions may change as roads reopen or new problems arise.
The pound is worth €1.1982 at the European Central Bank’s latest reference rate. That rate is dated 4 November.
The same bank’s data puts the 12-month Euribor at an average of 3.239% in October 2026. This is the rate often used to set home loan payments in Spain.
Spain’s flash inflation estimate for October 2026 is 4.9%. The figure comes from the INE, Spain’s national statistics body.
Together, the numbers give a quick view of daily costs, travel and key rates. They also keep each measure tied to its own date and source.
