National Police arrested one man in Cádiz on 30 October on suspicion of drug trafficking. A court later ordered him held in prison while the case continues.

Police said the arrest followed an inquiry into alleged small-scale sales in the city. Group II of the drugs unit led that work. The case concerns one man and two sites in Cádiz.

The suspect has not been convicted. The reports do not give his response to the claim.

Two properties searched

Officers searched the man’s home and a separate storage room. Police said the home held doses that had already been prepared. They allege the storage space was used to get drugs ready and move them on.

The searches followed police work on suspected sales arranged through direct contact. Investigators said they had watched meetings between the man and people who came to buy drugs at several places in Cádiz.

Police then sought court approval to enter both properties. The operation involved the Provincial Judicial Police, the Prevention and Reaction Unit and police dog handlers. Each team took part in the two searches.

Cocaine, cash and other items seized

Officers found almost 100 grams of a substance they believe was cocaine. Police said it was split into several packets that appeared ready for sale.

They also seized 103 grams of caffeine and 130.6 grams of a powder they described as a cutting substance. A precision scale was recovered during the searches.

The operation also led to the seizure of €15,755 in cash and two mobile phones. Police said the arrested man was the only person detained in this case. No second arrest was reported.

Court orders remand

After officers completed their initial work, the man appeared before the court dealing with the case. The judge ordered him into provisional prison pending trial.

Police describe the suspected offence as a crime against public health. That is the legal claim at this stage. The court has not ruled on guilt, and the reports do not name the man.

The separate report of a family group accused of dealing drugs in El Puerto concerns another case and is not part of this operation.
