Seville court releases suspect on €40,000 bail in death case
The man remains under investigation over a fatal incident after a Los Remedios traffic dispute, while the victim’s family says it will appeal.

A Seville judge has granted provisional release after payment of €40,000 bail to a man under investigation over the death of a 49-year-old following a traffic dispute in Los Remedios.
The incident happened on 6 May. Investigators allege that the man punched the victim, who fell and struck his head on the ground. The victim later died from his injuries.
In an order dated 28 October, the judge directed the suspect’s immediate release once bail was paid. He must continue to meet court appearance requirements and remain contactable while the investigation proceeds.
The release is provisional and does not determine the final legal classification of the case. In September, the Audiencia ordered that the proceedings should go before a jury and said intentional homicide could not yet be ruled out. The evidence at trial will determine whether another classification applies.
Family to challenge release
The victim’s family has said it will formally appeal the bail decision. Its legal representative expressed firm opposition to the release and said the circumstances should receive close judicial scrutiny as the case continues.
