Ávila court suspends one-year-six-month sentence in drug case
A final agreed judgment imposes a prison term and €2,000 fine after MDMA and LSD were seized near an illegal party in El Tiemblo.

The Audiencia Provincial de Ávila has sentenced a man to one year and six months in prison and fined him €2,000 for a public-health offence involving drugs intended for trafficking. The agreed judgment is final.
Guardia Civil officers identified the man near an illegal party advertised in El Tiemblo in September 2023. They seized 9.38 grams of MDMA divided among fourteen small bags and 43 doses of LSD on three cards.
The court found that the substances were intended for trafficking and had an illicit-market value of €850. It also ordered their confiscation and required the convicted man to pay the legal costs.
Prison term suspended
The court applied a mitigating factor for drug addiction. It found that the man was dependent on several drugs, had been receiving treatment since November 2023 and had a slight reduction in his intellectual and decision-making faculties.
The prison sentence has been suspended for two years. The suspension is conditional on the man not committing another offence during that period.
