Two minors arrested over alleged roles in Barcelona Blocus groups
Police allege the 14- and 17-year-olds helped run messaging channels used to coordinate participants in the 24 October riots and looting.

The Mossos d’Esquadra and Policía Nacional arrested two minors, aged 14 and 17, on Monday over alleged roles in messaging groups linked to the 24 October riots and looting in Barcelona. The inquiry is overseen by the Barcelona prosecutor’s specialist juvenile unit.
ABC estimated that more than 600 people took part in the disturbances, which left dozens of shops looted and more than 30 fires.
Police allege the two minors administered separate groups created to help participants coordinate. Investigators said access was promoted through TikTok posters containing a QR code that led to WhatsApp channels.
The Mossos said the two young people played an active role in the groups. They are accused of alleged aggravated public disorder and looting offences. Neither minor has been identified.
The investigation remains open and police have not ruled out further arrests. A judge also ordered a 21-year-old man into pretrial detention without bail on Monday over alleged offences linked to the same unrest.
The authorities are investigating people suspected of planning, coordinating and spreading calls connected with the disturbances.
